(Waupun) Agnesian HealthCare facilities are modifying their visitor guidelines as COVID hospitalizations and cases increase. Beginning Friday, patients can designate one visitor each day during their stay. There will be no visits for confirmed or suspected COVID patients except for limited situations. Only one primary support person in the Woman and Infants wing. All visitors must also be over the age of 18 and everyone will be screened prior to admission. St. Agnes Hospital President Katherine Vergos says with the rising numbers, their facilities are looking at what steps should be taken to help reduce potential exposure, especially to individuals with no symptoms, or even minor symptoms. She says by significantly reducing visitors coming into their buildings, they will be able to greatly limit potential exposure keeping patients, caregivers, and providers safe. Agnesian HealthCare officials say it is important that community members are watching for symptoms and encourage people with questions to contact their COVID clinic at 920-926-8400. They say that they are only testing individuals with symptoms and that call volumes are high at this time.
