ADRC Of Dodge County Encouraging Signups For Living With Diabetes Workshop

(Juneau) According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 100 million people in the United States now live with diabetes or pre-diabetes. Officials with the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Dodge County say that statistic is shocking, but people can improve their health by joining a Healthy Living with Diabetes workshop.

They note that the program has been researched and is proven to improve peopleโ€™s health. There will be six weekly sessions, beginning on September 6, and ending on October 11, from 1pm to 3pm at the TAG Center in Mayville.

During those sessions, participants will be given strategies for managing diabetes including techniques to deal with symptoms and information about healthy eating. Participants also learn how to make realistic, achievable action plans, share experiences, and help each other solve problems.
