ADRC DHS Awards Funding to Church Health Services Dental Clinic

(Beaver Dam) The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Dodge County is happy to announce that the Wisconsin Department of Health and Human Services has awarded funding to 14 non-profit dental clinics to increase their access in the state. Church Health Services in Beaver Dam happens to be one of them. Elderly Benefits Specialist Amanda Higgins is thrilled by this news.
โ€œWe wanna congratulate them if theyโ€™re listening on the radio,โ€ Higgins says. โ€œI know that we refer a lot of people to Church Health Services on a weekly basis.โ€
Church Health Services is a faith-based healthcare organization that conducts primary, dental, and mental health care for low-income children and adults living in south central Wisconsin. Higgins adds that the funding will be beneficial.
โ€œThis increase in funding is to not only provide the increased access, but itโ€™s also going to be an opportunity for worksite with the Department of Workforce Development to offer youth apprenticeship programs to get more people in the dental field.โ€
Higgins says the grant awards range from $59,000 to $150,000 per clinic over a three-year period.
