(Berlin) Authorities have identified the Beaver Dam teen killed in a single vehicle crash in the town of Berlin over the weekend. Green Lake County sheriffโ€™s officials say 17-year-old Tyler Baerber was in a vehicle with three others when it left the roadway on Highway A near Springbrook Road around 9:30pm Saturday night and crashed into several trees. Baerber was pronounced dead at the scene. The three other juvenile occupants were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.

(Campbellsport) A 14-year-old boy fled Fond du Lac County authorities in a stolen vehicle Monday afternoon. The pursuit, which started in the village of Campbellsport, lasted just over two miles. The suspect was located in the village of Kewaskum and was taken into custody. The stolen vehicle was located in the villageโ€™s north side. Charges are being referred to juvenile authorities.

(Waupun) The city of Waupun is hard at work on their 2024 budget. Throughout the month of August and September, the city council conducted a number of budget workshops in advance of a budget session happening this month. Mayor Rohn Bishop says he likes where next yearโ€™s budget is heading, noting that the city has received a $650-thousand-dollar boost in shared revenue. He adds that they are investing in things that make Waupun a great city, including their police and fire departments. A public hearing on the budget will be held in advance of final adoption, which is slated for November 14th.

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam School Board recently approved the renewal of the girl’s hockey co-op team with the addition of Waupun. Associate director of Activities and Athletics Ryan Gerber says the partnership makes sense because they currently play together at the Family Center. He says this move will also help to sustain numbers going forward to possibly start a JV program. Beaver Dam is currently in a partnership with Dodgeland, Horicon, Columbus, Mayville, and Wayland Academy.

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam business recently celebrated a major milestone. City leaders and staff of Kraft Heinz commemorated the companyโ€™s 95 years in the local community. The factory can trace its roots in Beaver Dam all the way back to 1928. In 2015, Kraft and Heinz merged into one corporation. Kraft Heinzโ€™s commemoration happened during Manufacturing Month, an industry that generates $66-billion-dollars in economic output and accounts for nearly 19-percent of the stateโ€™s domestic product.
