(Watertown) The Watertown Regional Medical Center has a new medical director of cardiology. Dr. Salim Shammo is a highly esteemed interventional cardiologist who has been working part-time for the past 29 years.
He recently became full-time at the position, which allows him to see more patients in-clinic and perform more procedures in the newly renovated Cath lab. The doctor says Watertown Regional Medical Center is a special place because it is not only a community hospital located between Madison and Milwaukee, but also is a place to be taken care of by your friends and neighbors.
He adds that he is excited to expand his practice. The hospital says that Dr. Shammo brings a wealth of experience to his new role. In addition to working in Watertown, he has spent the past 30 years working at the Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin and Aurora’s St. Luke’s in Milwaukee.
