Best Dam Fest Begins Friday In Beaver Dam

(Beaver Dam) Best Dam Fest kicks off Friday in downtown Beaver Dam. The three-day summer carnival, which was originally called Beaver Dam Lake Days, features a number of family-fun activities including live music and pontoon rides.

Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce President Tracy Propst says the event has two main components.

“And there’s really kind of two parts to it…one is the non-profit part that takes place at Tahoe Park and also the carnival rides downtown,” says Propst. “And then there’s the other part…the Best Dam Music Fest that…you know businesses are sponsoring the music.”

Propst says there are a number of fun activities taking place at Tahoe Park on Saturday.

“They have the learn to ski…this is a registration in advance…it’s very popular…from 8am to 11am and that’s put on by the Beaverland Must-Ski’s,” says Propst. “There’s a number of food trucks…10am to noon Leipsic 4-H is out there with a petting zoo…11am to 5pm is face painting and…this is always a fun one…the 11:30am to 12:30pm Cardboard Regatta.”

Music acts on Friday include Got Wisco? and Fool House. On Saturday The Toys, Buck Neck-Ed, Whiskey Flats, and Wheel House will hit the main stage located next to Stormy’s. Saturday’s events conclude with a fireworks display by Spectrum Pyrotechnics starting around 9:30pm. The rain date is July 9th.

On Sunday, the 52nd annual Day in the Park Fair at Swan Park will feature over 150 vendors from across the country. Click HERE for more information.
