Hartford Man Killed Following Two-Vehicle Crash

(Hartford) A motorcyclist from Hartford was killed following a two-vehicle crash in Washington County. Sheriff’s deputies were called to Highway 167 and County Trunk Highway K in the town of Erin around 11:40pm Wednesday.

When law enforcement reached the scene, they determined that a motorcycle heading north struck a southbound passenger car. The operator of the bike, identified as a 51-year-old Hartford man, was ejected and died at the scene.

The driver of the car, a 37-year-old Oconomowoc man, displayed signs of impairment and was arrested for OWI. The crash remains under investigation. This marks Washington County’s ninth traffic fatality of 2023.
