(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam Piggly Wiggly is under new ownership. Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly has purchased the store from Daryl and Brenda Schoenfeld who have retired. The couple has owned and operated the business for roughly 15 years but Daryl Schoenfeld has been a part of the grocery store for over four decades.
โStarted when I was 16-years-old back in 1979, so I just started my forty-fourth year being at Piggly Wiggly,โ says Daryl Schoenfeld. โWas with the old store where Cousins [Subs] is now. Tore that store down and built the one where it is now in 1991, did an addition in 1999, and then Brenda and I were able to purchase the store in 2008. We did a major addition again in 2014 to make it the beautiful store it is today.”
Schoenfeld says they have been blessed to be able to serve the Beaver Dam community.
โWe have some of the best customers that anybody could ask forโฆthe support that weโve had throughout the years here in the community,โ says Schoenfeld. โWeโve got great associates that have been with us for several years that have helped us build the store that we have today. We are very proud of it, but it is time for us to step back and smell the roses so to speak.โ
Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly President Mike Olwig says they are looking forward to providing Beaver Dam shoppers the same superior customer service and highest quality products. He adds that as an employee owned company, they welcome their new Beaver Dam team members who will join them as owners.
Olwig notes that there will be about 25 exclusive sale events throughout the year including their One Day Meat Sale, Seafood and Shellfish Sale, Customer Appreciation Sale, Made in Wisconsin Sale, and Brat Fest.
