Marion E. Polsin

Marion E. Polsin, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, at the age of 98.

Marion was born on June 24, 1927, in Lowell, Wisconsin, to Oscar and Esther (Ladwig) Neis. In her nearly century-long journey, she touched the lives of many with her kindness, unwavering spirit, and dedication to family and community.

Marion married Herbert Polsin on March 25, 1950, in Iowa, and together they built a life in Lowell. She was a devoted homemaker, pouring her heart into raising her children. She was a lifelong member of the Lowell United Church of Christ and was actively involved with the Willing Workers and served as the treasurer for many years. Her dedication to her church family was evident in the way she cared for others, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. She also volunteered at the Lowell VFW, reflecting her commitment to community service.

Marion had a green thumb and a passion for gardening, which brought her joy. She loved planting flowers around her home and spent countless hours tending to her garden. Her lawnmower became a familiar sight in the neighborhood, as she took pride in maintaining her yard with love. Marion also had a unique hobby of trapping critters which began as a fun pastime. Throughout her life, Marion exemplified the true meaning of caretaking, not only for her family but also for her friends and members of her church community. Her nurturing spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Marion is survived by her children, Bonnie Riege of Beaver Dam, Jim (Tamara) Polsin of Lowell, Darlene (Ronald) Roth of Reeseville, and Thomas (Debra) Polsin of Lowell; grandchildren, Donna (Dave) Stocks, James (Candy) Riege, Kelly (Chris) Keller, Jason (Amy) Polsin, Bryan (Jessica) Roth, Jennifer (Vern) Neumann, and Matthew (Collin Johnson) Polsin; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Davidson of Lowell; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives, and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert; siblings, Shirley Kettle, Carol Bartel, Raymond Neis, Gerald Neis, Robert Neis, Judy Jakel, and Richard Neis; son-in-law, Wallace Riege; and grandchildren, Baby Polsin and Keri Polsin.

A visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Carrie Schuett officiating. Burial will be at Lowell Cemetery on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
