(BEAVER DAM) The Beaver Dam Community Library’s temporary location is opening Tuesday. Library staff have spent the last month or so getting set up at the former Bassett Furniture building at 1701 North Spring Street.
The temporary location will offer most of the library’s usual services, including free internet, copying and scanning, and the puzzle exchange.
Library officials say the temporary spot is easily accessible by car, bike or on foot, with plenty of parking available.
The move allows crews to continue renovation work at the main library building, shortening construction time and minimizing disruptions for visitors. Work on the permanent library building is expected to take six to nine months.
