(Waupun) The Waupun Police Department is reminding citizens to maintain their properties. Police Chief Jeremy Rasch says that this is an issue that tends to get worse this time of year.
“Throughout the year we go to properties that may have junk or unregistered vehicles…just deteriorating properties too can be something that we might help the building inspector out with…we work on this throughout the year but every spring it seems like people have accumulated stuff over the winter,” says Rasch. “It becomes an eyesore.”
The city of Waupun is holding its bulk pickup March 31st through April 2nd. Waupun Utilities is having an electronic recycling event on April 12th at their facility at 817 South Madison Street from 10am to 2pm.
Those interested in going are asked to enter through the west gate. Chief Rasch says he hopes that these opportunities will help those get rid of accumulated items that they no longer need.
