(Columbus) Your weekend will be one hour longer. Daylight savings time ends at 2am Sunday, when the clock goes back to 1am. The public is also encouraged to take advantage of the time change to create a safer home for themselves and loved ones. That includes changing out the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. In 2023, there were 341 emergency department visits and 35 deaths due to unintentional carbon monoxide poisoning, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

(Beaver Dam) The community is welcome to tour a new primary care and behavioral health clinic in Beaver Dam this (Friday) afternoon. Noble Community Clinics, formerly Family Health La Clinica, is hosting a rubbing cutting ceremony and an open house today (Friday) at 12pm. Noble staff will be offering tours of the primary care and behavioral health clinic with snacks and give-a-ways to share.
(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting residents to shop small and participate in their “Beaver on the Shop Shelf” contest starting tomorrow (Saturday, November 2nd) and goes through December 22nd. Participants only need to spot Benna or Buddy Beaver, show the store staff, and fill out a ticket for the chance to win cool prizes. (Beaver Dam) Auditions for the first show of the Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre’s 2025 season are this Sunday (November 3rd) and Monday (November 4th). Gingerbread Clinic is a new fairytale production exclusive to BDACT, following characters like Jack-Be-Nimble and the Big Bad Wolf as they arrive at the clinic, seeking help and creating mayhem. Gingerbread Clinic runs from January 23rd through January 26th at the Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre Fine Arts Center Kamps Auditorium.
(Horicon) Horicon High School’s presentation of Game of Tiaras takes place today (Friday, November 1st) at 7pm and Saturday at 2pm and 7pm. Game of Tiaras is a comedic play that combines elements of Shakespeare with Game of Thrones and classic fairy tales, following three princesses as they scheme, backstab, and fight for control of a kingdom.
