Lots Of New Faces On Field For Randolph Football

The Randolph High School football team is young but expects to be contenders in the Trailways as the 2024 season moves along.   Tom Chase’s Rockets went 9-3 in 2023, collected a runner-up finish in the Trailways, and got to Level 3 of the WIAA playoffs.

The Rockets return running back Ben Paul (1st Team All-Trailways at offensive FLEX) this season.  Levi Wiersma was also an Honorable Mention All-Trailways pick at Tight End/Fullback & Defensive end in 2023 as a junior.  The squad will be mixing in bunch of talented, but inexperienced players to their lineup this season.

“I think seven of our eleven starters on offense on Friday had little or no varsity experience last year and ten of the fifteen players we played on defense on Friday had little varsity experience.” Coach Chase told ESPN Beaver Dam. “That’s really their first game. We are rebuilding with our youth and inexperience.  We will get there but  it will take a few steps to get there.”

The Rockets dropped their season opener to Eastern Suburban Conference favorite Cambridge 39-8 in week one and host Hilbert on Friday night.

You will be able to watch Randolph’s game with Cambria-Friesland September 13th on DailyDodge TV.
