Girls Soccer Sectionals

Mayville’s season has come to an end falling to Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld 2-1 Thursday. The sectional game was tied at 1-to-1 for most of the contest until Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld scored the decisive goal in the 87th minute. The Cardinals finished the year with a 15-4 record and placed second in the Flyway Conference behind Winnebago Lutheran.


Hustisford/Dodgeland’s run to the state title is over after losing to Lake Country Lutheran Co-op 3-2 Thursday. Nicole Lueck gave Hustisford/Dodgeland a one-nothing lead at the seven minute mark before Lake Country Lutheran’s Oliva Stoppenbach evened the score fourteen minutes later. Both teams shared a scored goal until Lake Country Lutheran went ahead for good in the 74th minute. Hustisford/Dodgeland finished the 2018 campaign with 13 wins, two losses and two ties and placed fourth in the Flyway Conference.


Boys Baseball

Several Mayville baseball players were named to the Flyway’s All-Conference Team. Player of the Year Jacob Schellpfeffer, Dylan Luehring and Hunter Herpel were selected the first team. Pitcher Alex Nadolski was named to the second team. McLaine Ebner, Wesley Weiglein and Trenton Kehrmeyer were honorable mentions.


Boys Golf

Beaver Dam students Zak Kulka, MJ Hallman and Conner Smith were named to the All-State Academic team for boy’s golf.
