(Byron) A Dodge County fire department assisted at a silo fire in township of Byron Morning. The Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a call from the property owner at W6216 Lost Arrow Road around 6:33am reporting that one of his silos was on fire.
Upon arrival, only smoke was visible from the structure and firefighters were able to limit the blaze to just the silo. The 70-foot silo was filled with approximately $20,000 worth of feed, which was all destroyed.
No other damage was sustained to any of the surrounding buildings and the fire is not considered to be suspicious in nature. The Brownsville Fire Department along with seven other agencies assisted at the scene.
