2022 Patriot Tour Close To Finish Line

(Beaver Dam) The Patriot Tour has nearly finished its summer ride taking a single American flag through all 50 states. This year’s tour kicked off in May in Erie, Pennsylvania and will see the 115-day ride come to an end this Saturday as the flag comes full circle at Harley Davison of Erie.

Along the route multiple riders act as flag bearers, taking on the honor and responsibility of transporting Old Glory through different legs of the journey. At Friday’s flag arrival ceremony in Beaver Dam, Nation of Patriots Founder and Executive Director Bill Sherer announced Tim Fletcher as Flag Bearer. Sherer says that Tim, alongside Wade and Sarah, have been longtime supporters of the tour. He adds that they have worked behind the scenes as well as with the media to ensure successful campaigns year after year.

Sherer also spoke to the great support Beaver Dam has provided the Patriot Tour, adding that it is the standard all other locations strive for. He says that when they arrived in town on Friday, they did not know what to expect. Sherer continues saying (quote) “the city did not let him down” and noted that an entire parade routes worth of people showed up to welcome them.

The Beaver Dam-based non-profit has raised nearly $2-million-dollars since its inception in 2009.
