(Beaver Dam) This year’s Dodge County Fair acts have been announced. The five-day event runs August 19th through the 23rd at the fairgrounds outside Beaver Dam.
Opening night Wednesday will once again feature the Badger State Tractor Pullers, adding a two-wheel drive, alcohol-burning truck class this year.
On Thursday night, nostalgic country with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
The Friday night act is not formally being announced but according to reports during their annual stockholders meeting, the Fair Association indicated that the grandstand act would be new country singer Jordan Davis.
Saturday night will see classic rock entertainment from Blue Oyster Cult along with Starship featuring Mickey Thomas.
The Farm Tractor Pull will be held on Saturday afternoon. The Demolition Derby will see two shows on Sunday. The Wild World of Animals will return along with pig races and Nick’s Kid Show, among others. The price of tickets will remain the same as last year.
Entry before 12-noon is $7; after noon that it is $10. Season tickets are $27 if purchased before August 19, and $35 after. Exhibitor tickets are $25. All entertainment and parking is free.
