Synchro 9, something brand new, that brings an opportunity to synchronized skating, developed with a pathway toward Olympic inclusion.
My PreEvent Routine
To get focused for competition includes talking through our elements in the locker room, lining up together before taking the ice, and once I step on the ice I settle into my zone and fully lock into my competition mindset.
Advice I would give to a freshman in high school
Pace yourself and find balance early on. It’s great to be involved and work hard, but remember that rest and balance are just as important as effort.
A person who has had a major impact on my athletic career
My mom. She has always encouraged me to be the best version of myself, pushing me to work hard while also believing in me every step of the way. Her support and motivation have shaped not only my athletic journey, but also my confidence and drive.
Plans For After Graduation:
I committed to Western Michigan University, where I will continue my skating career as a collegiate synchronized figure skater. I was selected from a highly competitive pool of 63 skaters to be one of just 20 chosen for the collegiate team. I will double major in Psychology and Sociology.
My favorite high school class
AP Psychology. I enjoy learning about how the mind works and what influences human behavior, and it makes everyday interactions and experiences more interesting to understand.
My favorite high school teacher is Mr. Winker in math because he creates a positive, supportive learning environment
The most interesting place I’ve ever visited
Las Vegas, where my Wisconsin Inspire synchronized skating team placed 4th at the United States Synchronized Skating Championships, making it an unforgettable experience both on and off the ice.
A place I would like to visit
Germany, ideally to see one of my foreign exchange students!
My favorite movie is
Pitch Perfect
My favorite TV show is
Grey’s Anatomy
My favorite musical artist is
Noah Kahan
My favorite food is
whatever my dad makes because he is the best cook and everything he prepares always tastes amazing!
My favorite athletes
are the “Blade Angels” Alysa Liu, Amber Glenn, and Isabeau Levito.
My favorite sports team is
Wisconsin Inspire because I love being part of the team and representing our hard work, dedication, and passion for synchronized skating!
