YMCA Of Dodge County To Host World’s Largest Swimming Lesson Event

BEAVER DAM – The YMCA of Dodge County will serve as an official host site for the 17th Annual World’s Largest Swimming Lesson on Thursday, June 25.

According to a media advisory from the YMCA of Dodge County, the free community event will run from 5PM to 6:30PM, with swimming lessons scheduled from 5PM to 6PM. The event will be held at the YMCA of Dodge County in Beaver Dam.

The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson is a global event focused on water safety and drowning prevention. Organizers say the event brings together people of all ages and skill levels to promote basic water safety skills and confidence in and around water.

The event is part of a 24-hour global effort across multiple time zones. The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson organization says the 2026 event is scheduled for Thursday, June 25, and host locations are allowed to choose local start times that fit their operations.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 4 and the second-leading cause of unintentional injury death for children ages 5 to 14. The YMCA of Dodge County is located at 220 Corporate Drive in Beaver Dam.
