BEAVER DAM – The YMCA of Dodge County says construction is moving ahead on its Child Development Center and Gym Expansion.
The Y says drone footage captured June 18 shows the steel framework rising at the active construction site. The work follows the projectโs April 2026 groundbreaking and is part of the organizationโs Expanding Possibilities capital campaign.
According to the YMCAโs campaign page, the project is designed to expand childcare and gym space at the Beaver Dam facility. The Y says the project will allow it to serve up to 108 additional children and double the square footage of the gym area.
The Y says the expanded gym space will support youth programs, fitness classes, pickleball, basketball and community wellness. The organization says the project is also aimed at helping address the shortage of childcare services in Dodge County.
In the construction update, the YMCA thanked WDS Construction, project partners, the Beaver Dam Community Hospital Foundation for a $1.5 million matching gift and donors who have helped raise more than $4.7 million toward the $4.9 million goal. Completion is expected this fall. The official campaign page lists the project timeline as an April 2026 groundbreaking with completion by fall 2026.
