NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Senior Paige Yagodinski became the St. Olaf College women’s basketball team’s second-ever D3hoops.com Team of the Week honoree, as announced on Tuesday morning.
Yagodinski was named to the five-member national honor roll after making 12 three-pointers while averaging 19.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game to lead St. Olaf to a 2-0 week. During the two wins, the senior shot 54.2 percent (13-for-24) from the field and 60.0 percent (12-for-20) from three-point range.
Tuesday’s announcement saw Yagodinski join Rachel Kelly ’23 (Feb. 6, 2023) as the lone Oles to earn spots on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week, which has been honoring the top performers in the country on a weekly basis since January of 1998.
After going 5-for-9 from behind the arc and scoring 17 points in Wednesday’s 72-38 win over Crown College, Yagodinski matched the program’s single-game record for three-pointers by shooting 7-for-11 on her way to a career-high 21 points in Saturday’s 73-66 victory at Minnesota Morris.
Off to its first 4-1 start since 2015-16, St. Olaf will host Bethany Lutheran College on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. at Skoglund Center.
