(Beaver Dam) Work on the new SSM Health Clinic along Highway 151 in Beaver Dam is progressing. Once completed, the facility will house SSM Health primary and specialty care providers, as well as imaging, laboratory and pharmacy services. It will also move services currently provided in leased space adjacent to Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam to the new location.
The exterior brick for the clinic’s second floor is complete and workers are placing the stone for the first floor and installing framing in preparation of the facility’s glass windows. The majority of the exterior glazing was completed last month.
Senior Construction Project Manager for SSM Health Kyle Prochaska says at the mid-way point of October, 90-percent of the second floor drywall was installed with the first level following behind. Outside curb, gutter and sidewalk work is nearing completion with a plan to apply a base coat asphalt later this month. Prochaska says while they have an aggressive construction schedule his team is progressing right where they want to be, adding that is a testament to everyone involved.
He says they are entering the stage in the project where fun additions will come to light such as interior work including painting, flooring and specialty touches. The plan is to begin providing patient care in the clinic in February.
