6/3/12 – Oshkosh Police have found the person responsible for abandoning nine cats outside a PETCO pet store last week and it’s a 54-year-old Fond du Lac woman. A micro-chip implanted in one of the cats led police back to the woman. The Oshkosh Humane Society says one of the nine abandoned cats has been adopted and the remaining eight are in good health and are being readied for adoption. The fine for an animal abandonment citation is $280.50. The cats found abandoned outside the PETCO were in 4 pet carriers.
