The Beaver Dam girls basketball team blew by Mount Horeb 66-31 on Tuesday night at the BDHS Fieldhouse. Junior Maty Wilke scored 25 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead BD. With a 3-pointer with 3:47 left in the game, Wilke became just the 5th player in Golden Beaver history to score 1000 career points. UW-Milwaukee recruit Jada Donaldson added 11 points in the victory. The win improves the 2nd ranked Beavers to 16-3 overall and a perfect 11-0 in Badger North play. The fans in attendance wore blue to “Blue Out” the fieldhouse for World Cancer Day and in honor of Coach Tim Chase who is on medical leave as he battles colon cancer. The three-time defending WIAA Division Two state champs will head to Sauk Prairie on Friday night. You can hear the game on 1430 WBEV.
