Wisconsin’s Seven-Day Average Of COVID-19 Infections Increasing

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials Friday reported an increase of 520 cases of COVID-19. The seven-day average, which has seen a steady increase since June 19th, is 370 daily infections. There are 26,747 people now having tested positive. Five-point-seven-percent (5.7%) of the 8,600 tests administered came back positive Friday, compared to 4.1-percent Thursday. State health officials are reporting 766 deaths. Deaths accounted for three-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 13-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Dodge County has five deaths on record and 447 cases, two more than Thursday. The county had 390 negative tests returned for a running total of 9,635. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 25 people while 194 have recovered. Washington County has 15 deaths along with 336 cases. Fond du Lac has six deaths on record and 306 positive tests to day. Jefferson County has four deaths and 211 cases. There has been one death in Columbia County where there are 76 positive cases. Green Lake County now has 29 cases.
