Wisconsin Surpasses 300K Coronavirus Cases

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 5146 positive coronavirus cases in Saturday’s daily update. There are 68,453 active cases in the state, a decrease of 607 from Friday. Active cases make up 22.4-percent of the 306-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 235-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 52 deaths, bringing that total to 2,625. Deaths account for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 244-thousand people were from the United States.

Dodge County now has 53 deaths and 6,509 cases, a one-day increase of 139 people. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 1,476 people as of Friday.

Washington County has 54 deaths on record along with 6,709 cases to date. Fond du Lac County now has 33 deaths with 6,989 positive tests on record. Jefferson County is now reporting 30 deaths and 4,108 cases to date. There are now ten deaths in Columbia County where there have been 2,605 total cases. Green Lake County has logged four deaths and has 1,036 cases on record.
