Wisconsin Surpasses 30,000 COVID-19 Cases

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 579 cases of COVID-19 in Friday’s daily update. The seven-day average continues to rise, now at 510 daily infections. There are 30,317 people now having tested positive. Five-point-seven-percent of the 9,600 tests administered came back positive Friday, compared to 4.2-percent Thursday. State health officials recorded three more deaths bringing that number to 796. Deaths accounted for two-point-six-percent (2.6%) of all cases in Wisconsin while 11-point-seven-percent (11.7%) of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized.

Dodge County has five deaths on record and 476 cases, an increase of nine from Thursday. The county had 188 negative tests returned for a running total of 10,985.

Washington County has recorded 16 deaths and has 411 cases.

Fond du Lac County has six deaths on record and 314 positive tests to date.

Jefferson County has four deaths and 260 cases.

There has been one death in Columbia County where there are 91 positive cases.

Green Lake County now has 35 cases.
