Wisconsin Second Among Midwestern States In Inmate COVID Cases

(Dodge County) Wisconsin has had the second most COVID-19 cases among its prison population across all Midwestern states since the pandemic began. That according to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections website which lists Michigan as the state with the most cases to date at 25,359. There have been 10,867 cases in Wisconsin, Illinois is third, followed by Iowa, Minnesota and Indiana. Wisconsin ranks third in total coronavirus deaths with 25 preceded by Michigan’s 138 and Indiana’s 51. The Badger state is second to last in total active cases with 32; 10 of those cases come from Dodge Correctional. All other Dodge County prisons do not currently have active cases.
