(Madison) Nine people in Wisconsin and Illinois have been infected with Salmonella. State health officials say there has been one hospitalization and no deaths. Current public health data indicates that pre-packaged salad greens produced by BrightFarms, Inc. of Rochelle, Illinois are the source of a Salmonella outbreak in the two states. Nine people have been infected; four in Wisconsin and five in Illinois. Illnesses started between June 10 and June 15. Health officials are urging consumers not to purchase, eat, or serve BrightFarms branded pre-packaged salad greens.
