Wisconsin Reports Record High Coronavirus Deaths

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 7,090 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update. There are 72,344 active cases in the state, an increase of 2,139 from Monday. Active cases make up 22.3-percent of the 323-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 248-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 92 deaths, bringing that total to 2,741. Deaths account for point-eight-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 246-thousand people were from the United States.

Dodge County has 54 deaths and 6,909 cases, a one-day increase of 131. The county had 170 negative tests returned for a running total of 31,557. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 1,342 people while 4,179 have recovered.

Washington County has reported a total of 59 deaths along 7,065 cases, with 2,128 being active cases.

Fond du Lac County has 35 deaths with 7,302 positive tests on record; 1,877 are active cases.

Jefferson County has recorded 33 deaths and 4,392 cases to date; 1,240 cases were reported in the last two weeks.

There have been 10 deaths in Columbia County where there have been 2,796 total cases; currently the county has 849 active cases.

Green Lake County has now logged five deaths and has 1,063 cases on record, with 220 cases reported in the last two weeks.
