Wisconsin Records Over Seven Thousand COVID-19 Cases Tuesday

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 7,073 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update. There are 61,944 active cases in the state, an increase of 2,856 from Monday. Active cases make up 22.2-percent of the 279-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 214-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 66 deaths, bringing that total to 2,395. Deaths accounted for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.7-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. The CDC says 238-thousand people have died nationwide

Dodge County is reporting two more deaths for a total of 46 deaths and 5,912 cases, an increase of 72 from Monday. The county had 161 negative tests returned for a running total of 30,439. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 1,394 people while 3,342 have recovered. 

Washington County announced two more deaths today bringing that total to 50 deaths with a running total of 6,148 cases, up by over 200 cases from Monday, and roughly 2,000 active cases.

Fond du Lac County reported another death for a total of 27 with 6,433 positive tests on record – a one-day increase of 213 cases – with 1,862 being active cases.

Jefferson County has now reported 27 deaths and 3,715 cases to date707 are active cases.

There have been nine deaths in Columbia County where there have been 2,404 total cases, currently the county has 794 active cases.

Green Lake County has four deaths and has 953 cases on record; 212 were reported in the last two weeks.
