Wisconsin Records 33 COVID Deaths After Two Straight Days With Zero

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 566 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update. There are 8,526 active cases in the state, a decrease of 103 from Monday. Active cases make up 1.5-percent of the 560-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 545-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 33 deaths bringing that total to 6,317. Deaths account for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 500-thousand people who have died in the United States.

Dodge County has experienced 155 deaths and 11,366 cases, no change from Monday. The county had six negative tests returned for a running to total of 39,730. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 126 people, one fewer than on Monday.

Washington County has seen 131 deaths along with 13,683 cases to date; 658 are active cases.

Fond du Lac County has seen 92 deaths, one more than on Monday, with 11,920 positive tests on record; 171 are active cases.

The state says Jefferson County has 76 deaths and 7,833 cases to date.

Columbia County has reported 51 deaths and 5,001 positive tests.

Green Lake County has 18 deaths with 1,522 cases on record; 11 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
