(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 7,048 positive coronavirus cases in Wednesday’s daily update. There are 64,067 active cases in the state, an increase of 2,123 from Tuesday. Active cases make up 22.4-percent of the 285-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 219-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 62 deaths, bringing that total to 2,457. Deaths accounted for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.7-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. The CDC says around 240-thousand people have died nationwide.
Dodge County is reporting three deaths for a total of 49 and 6,006 cases, an increase of 94 from Tuesday. The county had 143 negative tests returned for a running total of 30,582. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 1,369 people, a decrease of 25 people from Tuesday.
Washington County announced three deaths Wednesday bringing that total to 53 with a running total of 6,330 cases, up by 182 cases from Tuesday, with 1963 active cases.
Fond du Lac County reported two deaths for a total of 29 with 6,565 positive tests on record with 1,805 being active cases.
Jefferson County has now reported 28 deaths and 3,830 cases to date; 673 are active cases.
There have been nine deaths in Columbia County where there have been 2,477 total cases; currently the county has 804 active cases.
Green Lake County has logged four deaths and has 977 cases on record with 236 cases reported in the last two weeks.
