Wisconsin Over Seventy-Thousand Active COVID Cases

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 4,389 positive coronavirus cases in Monday’s daily update. There are 70,205 active cases in the state, an increase of 611 from Sunday. Active cases make up 22.2-percent of the 316-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 243-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 12 deaths, bringing that total to 2,649. Deaths account for point-eight-percent of the all cases in Wisconsin while 4.6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 245-thousand people were from the United States.

Dodge County has 53 deaths and 6,778 cases, a one-day increase of 116. The county 105 negative tests returned for a running total of 31,387. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 1,480 people while 3,945 have recovered.

Washington County has reported a total of 58 along 7,065 cases, with 2,039 being active cases.

Fond du Lac County has 34 deaths with 7,096 positive tests on record; 1,922 are active cases.

Jefferson County has recorded 30 deaths and 4,279 cases to date; 1,210 cases were reported in the last two weeks.

There have been 10 deaths in Columbia County where there have been 2,767 total cases; currently the county has 857 active cases.

Green Lake County has logged four deaths and has 1,062 cases on record, with 234 cases reported in the last two weeks.
