(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 638 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update, which is 6.4-percent of the nearly 10,000 tests announced. There are 7,385 active cases in the state, a decrease of 60 from Monday. Active cases make up 10.3-percent of the 71-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been just under 63-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 13 deaths Tuesday, for a total of 1,094. Deaths accounted for 1.5-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.8-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 176-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 814-thousand.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 1,046 cases, an increase of 12 from Monday. The county had 201 negative tests returned for a running total of 18,602. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 177 people while 622 have recovered.
Washington County has experienced 26 deaths along with 1,482 cases.
Fond du Lac County has nine deaths and 969 positive tests to date.
Jefferson County has reported six deaths and 829 cases to date.
There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 329 cases.
Green Lake County now has 87 cases.
