Wisconsin, Local Thursday COVID-19 Numbers Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 878 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update, which is 8.1-percent of the 10,700 tests announced. There are 7,529 active cases in the state, an increase 117 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 10.3-percent of the 73-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 64-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 11 deaths Thursday, for a total of 1,111. Deaths accounted for 1.5-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.8-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 178-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 822-thousand.

Dodge County has five deaths on record and 1,076 cases, an increase of 19 from Wednesday. The county had 109 negative tests returned for a running total of 18,822. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 183 people while 637 have recovered.

Washington County has now experienced 29 deaths along with 1,543 cases.

Fond du Lac County has nine deaths and 1,022 positive tests to date.

Jefferson County has reported six deaths and 848 cases to date.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 340 cases.

Green Lake County now has 88 cases.
