Wisconsin, Local COVID-19 Numbers Monday Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 266 positive coronavirus cases in Monday’s daily update, which is 7-percent of the 3,800 tests announced. There are 7,229 active cases in the state, a decrease of 269 from Sunday. Active cases make up 9.6-percent of the 75-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 67-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded no deaths Monday and that number remains unchanged at 1,122. Deaths accounted for 1.5-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.7-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 182-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 844-thousand.

Dodge County has five deaths on record and 1,162 cases, an increase of 29 from Sunday. The county had 96 negative tests returned for a running total of 19,244. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 179 people while 702 have recovered.

Washington County has experienced 29 deaths along with 1,622 cases to date.

Fond du Lac County has nine deaths and 1,120 positive tests.

Jefferson County has reported six deaths and 902 cases.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 351 cases.

Green Lake County now has 92 cases.
