Wisconsin Health Officials Report Over 50 COVID-19 Deaths

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 5,771 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update. There are 50,689 active cases in the state, an increase of 2,323 from Monday. Active cases make up 21.3-percent of the 238-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 185-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 52 deaths, bringing that total to 2,102. Deaths accounted for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 5-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 231-thousand were from the United States.

Dodge County now has 36 deaths on record and 4,981 cases, an increase of 137 from Monday. The county had 171 negative tests returned for a running total of 29,269. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 1,279 people while 2,710 have recovered.

Washington County has now experienced 45 deaths and 5,038 cases, there are currently 1,500 active cases.

Fond du Lac County has 5,469 positive tests on record, with 1,661 being active cases, and 23 deaths.

Jefferson County has reported 19 deaths and 3,152 cases to date, 725 are active cases.

There have been seven deaths in Columbia County where there have been 2,012 total cases, currently the county has 627 active cases.

Green Lake County has four deaths and has 843 cases on record, 225 were reported in the last two weeks.
