Wisconsin Health Officials Report Just Under 10,000 Active Cases In Sunday Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 922 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update, which is 9.6-percent of the 9,600 tests announced. There are 9,994 active cases in the state, an increase of 241 from Saturday. Active cases make up 18.2-percent of the nearly 55-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 43-thousand recoveries.

There was one death reported by state health officials, for a total of 948. Deaths accounted for 1.7-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8.6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 154-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 680-thousand

Dodge County has five deaths on record and 702 cases, an increase of 27 from Saturday. The county had 192 negative tests returned for a running total of 15,271. 

Washington County has 22 deaths and 880 cases, a one-day increase of 20.

Fond du Lac County has six deaths and 560 positive tests to date.

Jefferson County has five deaths along with 556 cases.

There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 224 positive cases.

Green Lake County has 52 cases.
