Wisconsin Health Officials Report Another Daily Record Of COVID-19 Cases

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 7,777 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update. There are 69,060 active cases in the state, an increase of 2,187 from Thursday. Active cases make up 22.9-percent of the 301-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 229-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 58 deaths, bringing that total to 2,573. Deaths accounted for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.7-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 243-thousand people were from the United States.

Dodge County has 52 deaths and 6,370 cases, a one-day increase of 207. The county had 71 negative tests returned for a running total of 31,909. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 1,476 people while 3,651 have recovered.

Washington County has reported 54 deaths along with 6,709 cases to date, with 2,000 being active cases.

Fond du Lac County reported two new deaths for a total of 33 with 6,952 positive tests on record; 1,754 are active cases.

Jefferson County has now reported 29 deaths and 4,024 cases to date; 723 are active cases.

There have been nine deaths in Columbia County where there have been 2,576 total cases; currently the county has 797 active cases.

Green Lake County has logged four deaths and has 1,028 cases on record, with 243 cases reported in the last two weeks.
