Wisconsin Health Officials Record 51 COVID Related Deaths Thursday

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 4,870 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update. There are 44,896 active cases in the state, an increase of 1,428 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 20.9-percent of the 214-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 168-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 51 deaths, bringing that total to 1,948. Deaths accounted for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 5.1-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide the CDC says 228-thousand people were from the United States.

Dodge County has 27 deaths on record and 4,343 cases, an increase of 175 from Wednesday. The county had 96 negative tests returned for a running total of 28,473. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 1,157 people while 2,360 have recovered.

Washington County has experienced 41 deaths and 4,583 cases, there are currently 1,200 active cases.

Fond du Lac County has 4,695 positive tests on record, with 1,204 being active cases, and 20 deaths.

Jefferson County has now reported 15 deaths and 2,840 cases to date, 577 are active cases.

There have now been seven deaths in Columbia County where there have been 1,820 total cases, currently the county has 589 active cases.

Green Lake County has three deaths and has 767 cases on record.
