Wisconsin Health Officials Record 34 COVID-19 Deaths

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 3,279 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update. There are 30,731 active cases in the state, an increase of 1,253 from Monday. Active cases make up 19.8-percent of the 155-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 123-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 34 deaths, for a total of 1,508. Deaths accounted for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 5.5-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 214-thousand people were from the United States.

Dodge County has 19 deaths on record and 2,680 cases, an increase of 59 from Monday. The county had 190 negative tests returned for a running total of 25,019. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 826 people while 1,378 have recovered.

Washington County has now experienced 39 deaths along with 3,394 cases, a one-day increase of 98.

Fond du Lac County has 3,097 positive tests on record along with 16 deaths.

Jefferson County is now reporting nine deaths and 1,978 cases to date.

There have been three deaths in Columbia County where there have been 1,173 cases.

Green Lake County now has two deaths and has 499 cases.
