(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1,582 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update, which is 20.5-percent of the 7,700 tests announced. There are 10,207 active cases in the state, an increase of 740 from Saturday. Active cases make up 11.4-percent of the 89-thousand people who have tested positive to date.
State health officials recorded one death Sunday, bringing that total of 1,210. Deaths account for 1.4-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.1-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 193-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 921-thousand.
Dodge County has eight deaths on record and 1,416 cases, an increase of 27 from Saturday. Washington County has experienced 32 deaths along 1,973 cases, a one-day increase of 52. Fond du Lac County has reported 12 deaths and 1,447 positive tests on record. Jefferson County has reported seven deaths and 1,067 cases to date. There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 433 cases. Green Lake County now has 133 cases, an increase of five from Friday.
