Wisconsin Health Department COVID-19 Monday Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 404 positive coronavirus cases in Monday’s daily update, which is 5.6-percent of the 7,100 tests announced. There are 9,866 active cases in the state, a decrease of 128 from Sunday. Active cases make up 17.8-percent of the 55-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 44-thousand recoveries.

There was one death reported by state health officials, for a total 949. Deaths accounted for 1.7-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8.6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 154-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 689-thousand.

Dodge County has five deaths on record and 705 cases, an increase of three from Sunday. The county had 132 negative tests returned for a running total of 15,403. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 113 people while 350 have recovered.

Washington County has 22 deaths and 880 cases.

Fond du Lac County has six deaths and 571 positive tests to date.

Jefferson County has five deaths along with 564 cases.

There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 227 positive cases.

Green Lake County has 52 cases.
