(Lake Mills) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation of the Southwest Region will be hosting a public meeting to preview the upcoming reconstruction of Mulberry Street in Lake Mills. The proposed reconstruction will occur between Madison Street and Grant Street and is scheduled to begin spring 2019. The work will include removing and replacing the existing pavement with new asphalt pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm sewer, pavement marking and permanent signing. The city of Lake Mills will also be replacing sanitary sewer and water lines throughout the project. During reconstruction this section of Mulberry street will be closed to through traffic with marked detours. Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Lake Mills officials, and the construction contractor will be on hand to discuss the preliminary construction schedule and answer questions. This public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 21st, at the Lake Mills Community Center, 200 Water Street. The preview will begin at 5:30pm and run till 7.
