(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2,319 positive coronavirus cases in Wednesday’s daily update. There are 21,004 active cases in the state, an increase of 752 from Tuesday. Active cases make up 17.2-percent of the 122-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far there have been 99-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 27 deaths, for a total of 1,327. Deaths accounted for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 205-thousand deaths while the worldwide death has eclipsed 1-million.
Dodge County has 17 deaths on record and 1,959 cases, an increase of 28 from Tuesday. The county had 98 negative tests returned for a running total of 23,183. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 445 people while 1,106 have recovered.
Washington County has now experienced 34 deaths along 2,697 cases.
Fond du Lac County has 2,222 positive tests on record along with 14 deaths.
Jefferson County is reporting eight deaths and 1,515 cases to date.
There have been three deaths in Columbia County where there have been 679 cases.
Green Lake County now has 304 cases.
