Wisconsin Department Of Health Tuesday COVID-19 Numbers Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 981 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update, which is 8.3-percent of the 11,800 tests announced. There are 7,534 active cases in the state, an increase of 305 from Monday. Active cases make up 9.8-percent of the 76-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been nearly 68-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded eight deaths Tuesday, for a total of 1,130. Deaths accounted for 1.5-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.7-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 183-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 848-thousand.

Dodge County has five deaths record and 1,188 cases, an increase of 26 from Monday. The county had 69 negative tests returned for a running total of 19,313. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 173 people while 719 have recovered.

Washington County has experienced 29 deaths along with 1,656 cases to date.

Fond du Lac County has nine deaths and 1,157 positive tests.

Jefferson County has reported six deaths and 923 cases.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 361 cases.

Green Lake County now has 94 cases.
