Wisconsin Department Of Health Sunday COVID-19 Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 453 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update, which is 9.4-percent of the 4,800 tests announced. There are 7,643 active cases in the state, a decrease of 334 from Saturday. Active cases make up 10.8-percent of the 70-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 61-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded no deaths Sunday and that number remains unchanged at 1,081. Deaths accounted for 1.5-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.9-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 175-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 806-thousand.

Dodge County has five deaths on record and 1,011 cases, an increase of 10 from Saturday. The county had 108 negative tests returned for a running total of 18,243.

Washington County has experienced 26 deaths along with 1,458 cases.

Fond du Lac County has nine deaths and 942 positive tests to date, a one day increase of 37 cases.

Jefferson County has reported six deaths and 819 cases to date.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 319 cases.

Green Lake County now has 76 cases.
