Wisconsin Department Of Health Sunday COVID-19 Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2,217 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update, which is 27.6-percent of the 8,000 tests announced. There are 19,050 active cases in the state, an increase of 798 from Saturday. Active cases make up 16.4-percent of the 115-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 95-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded no deaths Sunday and that number remains unchanged at 1,281. Deaths accounted for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 6.1-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 204-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 995-thousand.

Dodge County has 16 deaths on record and 1,837 cases, an increase of 31 from Saturday. The county had 68 negative tests returned for a running total of 22,874.

Washington County has experienced 32 deaths along 2,604.

Fond du Lac County has 2,045 positive tests on record along with 13 deaths.

Jefferson County is reporting eight deaths and 1,418 cases to date.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 622 cases.

Green Lake County now has 277 cases.
