Wisconsin Department Of Health Reports 727 Positive COVID-19 Cases

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 727 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update, which is 7.9-percent of the 9,100 tests announced. There are 7,393 active cases in the state, an increase of 65 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 9.5-percent of the 77-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 69-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded four deaths Thursday, for a total of 1,146. Deaths accounted for 1.5-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 185-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 864-thousand.

Dodge County has five deaths on record and 1,209 cases, an increase of nine from Wednesday. The county had 25 negative tests returned for a running total of 19,433. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 171 people while 740 have recovered.

Washington County has experienced 29 deaths along with 1,688 cases to date.

Fond du Lac County has 10 deaths and 1,201 positive tests.

Jefferson County has now reported seven deaths and 946 cases.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 369 cases.

Green Lake County now has 95 cases.
